That quote is why for today’s team retreat I baked blueberry muffins, brought in my Instant Pot and cooked a mole-style chicken buffet right there in the conference room, and decorated every surface with candy to match the theme of StrategyLand (a la classic CandyLand board game). So touched that my colleagues really do seem to look forward to the Big Reveal when I open the door and welcome them to the surprise… and they definitely weren’t faking seconds on the chicken. Kudos to them for their gift to me and our organization in return: a day of brilliant planning fueled by food and laughter. <3 taking care of these good good good people.
